Class descriptions (alphabetically):

Beginners Yoga (with Natalie): Do your toes seem miles away? New to yoga? The GREENER, the better!  Learn the foundations you need to feel comfortable and wise in any yoga class from an experienced, registered Yoga Instructor.  *** Drop-in available, best price option is to register. click here for pricing.

Beginners and Beyond (with Tamela): For those wishing to explore the foundational postures of yoga a little deeper.  The instruction is detailed and varied.  The class moves at a slower pace which makes it suitable for beginners to yoga.

Flow Yoga Dance: A dynamic way of dancing through the poses in a way you’ve never explored before. One of the most fun, inspiring and unique yoga practices; a beautifully energizing class for those that have the foundations of yoga asana.  This is a MUST try!  *** Drop-in available, best price option is to register. click here for pricing.

Intro to Ashtanga (drop-in $14):  For beginning students who want to experience a type of yoga which is challenging, yet philosophically soft on the body.  The Ashtanga system is a dynamic style of yoga practice linking breath, body and mind. Level 2: Workshop style for those who want to go a little more in-depth with the asana practice. Some experience is necessary.

Men's Yoga: A class just for men.  The main focus is the hips, legs and shoulders.  Some poses are modified to accomidate men's bodies.  Bring your warm beverage, cause its early!!

Mindfulness Meditation: This class is given every second week.  The hour long class will give participants the opportunity to experience sitting meditation.   No experience is necessary, just a keen interest to know the mind.  There will be a talk each class,  a guided meditation, and always time for questions and comments.  If you have been wanting to slow down, find some quiet and peace or wish to learn a method of stress reduction, this class may be helpful to you.  On a deeper level, the class "......is intended to bring wholesome changes through wisdom, understanding, kindness, compassion and clarity of seeing"  - Shirley Johannesen-
Tamela is currently involved in a 3 year Mindfulness Meditation Training course.  She is under the tutelage of her teacher, Shirley, who provides continuous support and guidance  and who's influence will be seen in this course. 

Parent and Child Yoga and Meditation class: This one hour class is meant to be a class of CONNECTION for the parent and child.  The first part of the class involves partner breathing, it then moves on to fun, kid-friendly yoga postures.  We will explore a relaxing restorative posture near the end of the class.  It finishes with a short GUIDED mindfulness meditation.
Open and designed for kids and parents of any age.  This class provides an opportunity to be one-on-one with your child in an environment that encourages stillness, quiet and of course, a little fun to. * This class will happen if there are enough participants*

Private Class for Women: Description coming soon.

Restorative: Designed to help you deeply relax so that your body can renew itself. Poses are held longer with the support of props. All levels welcome.

Yin Yoga:  Longer holds focusing on the area between the waist and legs characterize this class.  It is a very good class for beginners and those recovering from injuries.  Mindfulness and cultivating stillness and awareness are a big part of this class.

Yin/Yang Yoga: A combination of longer, more still poses and a light flow.  Good for beginners and those wanting to develop a practice of deeper awareness in the body and the mind.
