Therapeutic Movement for Gardners



How we move into and out of our gardening positions is really important to ensuring a healthy back and body.


Hunching for extended periods of time is one of the hardest things on the back and SI joints. It creates all sorts of dysfunction, tension and unease in the body: from sore back and neck to feeling stiff getting up.


Here’s a quick therapeutic movement tip using cat cow and kneeling to bring better movement to your gardening so there’s more harmony and ease in your body.


Not sure what therapeutic movement is?! Think of it as slowing down and really seeing what your body is and isn’t doing/moving well.


Then we strength what’s needs to get stronger and soften what needs to relax; bringing the harmony back – sort of a mix between physio and yoga.
